Aside from smartphones, tablet computers or simply the tablet have also become very popular among consumers across markets. That is why tablet companies are also developing new tablet models which offer more and advanced features for better functions. This year, several tablet companies have already announced and released their tablet for 2013.
However, other brands such as Samsung has only announced about what they are going to offer for this year. In particular, the company announced this month that it will be releasing Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 but there is not specific date yet when it will be released. So, while waiting for it to be available, below are its features and specs.

Body and Display
The dimensions of the latest model are 243.1 x 176.1 x 8 mm or 9.57 x 6.93 x 0.31 inches while the weight is 510 grams or 1.12 pounds. For the display, the type is capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The size is 1280 x 800 pixels with 149 PPI pixel density. The screen size is 10.1 inches, which is wide enough to have a better view. It is multitouch with Corning Gorilla Glass as protection.
Users can choose from alert types like MP3 ringtones and vibration. It has a loudspeaker with stereo speakers. It also has a 3.5 mm jack. The Dolby Surround sound can deliver quality audio, which is necessary when performing functions such as listening to music and watching videos.
When it comes to the memory, the Tab 3 10.1 has a card slot for a microSD which can be expanded to up to 64 GB. Moreover, it has an internal memory of 16 or 32 GB storage with a 1 GB RAM.
For its camera, it has a primary camera of 3.15 MP with 2048 x 1536 pixels. One of its features is geo tagging. It also has a video with 720p. On the other hand, the secondary camera is 1.3 MP. Though the tablet is not usually used for taking photos, it is still important that it has a better and reliable camera as it is used for communication functions such as video conferencing. Small business owners and employees need this.
Operating System
Since it is the latest tablet model from Samsung, consumers can definitely expect a faster processing speed. Apparently, they would not be disappointed as the tab has Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). For its CPU, it has dual-core 1.6 GHz. The sensors are compass, light and accelerometer. Moreover, it has messaging capabilities such as IM, email, push email, SMS in threaded view and MMS.
Other Features
Unlike other tablets, the Tab 3 10.1 has no radio but it has GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS. It also has Java via JAVA MIDP emulator. The browser it supports is HTML5. IT also has organizer, SNS integration, image video editor, document editor/viewer, predictive text input (Swype), voice memo/dial, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk and Picasa. Consumers can buy it in black or white color.
Considering all these, the latest from Samsung seems to be a good choice for this year. For one, it is amazingly thinner. It is also lighter which is good as it can be easily carried anywhere. Apparently, it also has a very fast processor which is necessary when simultaneous functions and apps are accessed by the user.
